The Great "Duperbowl"
Well, as you can tell, my interest in this nonsense is almost nil, but I'll still make fun of it. I think Betty Lou needs some hair, what about you?
Veteran humor.
Veterans are known for busting the chops or Busting the Balloon of fellow Vets. They know no boundries and it doesn't matter what branch you were in. Have a great day.

Oh those New Years Resolutions.
In this day of trying to lose weight, stick to the plan, it will eventually come off. Keep moving forward!

Maynard gets twisted
Still hashing out lettering and layouts. Working on a 3 pane and 6-8 pane Sunday story version as we speak. For now, single pane one liners.

Monday, Monday
For all of my still working friends. Mondays are just another Saturday. Life is truly good. This comic strip is evolving. Once I get it more where I want it, I'll launch the blog address.

Maynard and Candy
Well, the characters are starting to take form and the dialogue is starting to come together. I still need to work on the hand lettering and backgrounds.

Navy Daze
So, this goes back to the mid 80’s while I served in the U.S. Navy. Several gung ho newly graduated officers (ENSIGNS) would come aboard ship and act like they know what’s going on. The old salty Chief was the person to talk to about everything because they knew about everything. That’s where the phrase “go ask Chief” came from. I think after awhile the youngin’s figured it out and started off a lot of sentences with, Hey Chief, what would you do in this situation? I was thinking about that today and thus the inspiration for today’s idea.

Vector art vs raster and old school drawing.
I was trying out different styles. I tried the Vector method but prefer the old school feel of sketchbook pro. I also like the brushes and color library better. Vector art does have a purpose, but not in my cartooning ideas.
Bink, Jr. and Foofie
Still working on character designs and layout. I need to figure out space layout in frame next. They are starting to evolve.

Characters evolving. Still hashing out colors, characters, fonts (or hand written captions) and textures. Any feedback is welcomed.

Foofie celiling
My favorite style for this cartoon series. Now to remember if I did it in Photoshop, Autodesk Sketchbook Pro or Procreate.
Early works
Who knew back in the early days of 2000 that I would be coming up with a simple balloon idea. It was actually earlier than that, but I started digitally creating these characters then. I enjoy the look of my early stuff and am working on honing that skill. I wish I could find even earlier drawings. Hang with me, it will be worth the wait, I promise.
